Existential doubt - Guild Wars Forums

Hi all!
The last weekend after a mission in Nigh Fall, found a message in the chat window, telling that 8300 minutes still remaining of god???s protection or blessing or sort of, not sure but am thinking that is related to survivor title.

Can you please help to clarify?

It was probably this:

You can do /favor and I think it will give you the same message you got.

It tells you how long the world has the favor of the gods, which grants access to elite areas (UW and FoW.. I don't think DoA is counted). Without the favor of the gods you must use scrolls to gain access to these areas.

What cool name said, it would be interesting (and entirely possible) that this is from the change to survivor. Looks like some people farmed a little.

If something is not clear, just ask again.

I think most of the minutes came from drunkard (if you were on when they released the update you will understand why)

Forgot that change... You're probably right. Thinking about it, a LOT of titles were changed this update.

Just to clarify, DoA does not rely on favor for access. Only UW and FoW do.

Favor also affects Rez shrines in many areas. When you /kneel at a Rez shrine, when it has favor (you can tell from the look of the Shrine), a ghostly form of some god/goddess will appear and you can purchase various buffs.
